How do I find a local distributor?
Go to “worldwide” on our website and find your local distributor.
You could not find a distributor near you? Contact us. Our contact persons would be happy to assist you.
How often should the MONILOG® data logger be calibrated?
To ensure the accuracy of the measurement data, we recommend sending your RISK LOGGER to SMT ELEKTRONIK every two years.
Simply contact your account manager or contact our support team.
Where can I get the calibrate certificate for my MONILOG® data logger?
The certificate will be delivered to you after successful calibration service.
Where can I find the serial number of my MONILOG® data logger?
The serial number of your RISK LOGGER can be found on the silver label on the side or the bottom of the device. If the label is not available, please contact our support team.
Alternatively, you can display the serial number with the software.
Where can I find the technical data sheet of my MONILOG® RISK LOGGER?
Go to “Products” and select your data logger. Under “Product details” you will find the data sheet.
I have special requirements for a data logger. Can the MONILOG® data loggers be adapted to this?

We offer calibration and repair service for your MONILOG® devices. In addition, it is possible to provide you a rental device.
Can external sensors be connected to the MONILOG® data logger?
You can also connect external sensors to measure further data. Temperature, relative humidity and absolute air pressure can be recorded.
Operation
How do I protect my MONILOG® data logger from external access?
The MONILOG® RISK LOGGER can be protected against unauthorised persons with a password and specific accesses. Further information can be found in the user manual. Our support team will be at your disposal to set up the security settings.
Can I borrow an MONILOG® data logger for testing?
We are happy to provide you with a RISK LOGGER as a rental device for a small extra charge. Should you decide to purchase, your deposit will be offset.

Where can the MONILOG® data logger be mounted?
The data logger can be mounted directly on or in the product / the product packaging. Magnetic feed, among other things, provide optimal grip.

How can I exchange the battery of the data logger?
The MONILOG® data loggers are equipped with batteries with a life of up to three years.
If the device is regularly handed over to our calibration service, it will receive new batteries in this context.
The battery change is described in detail in the user manual. Should there be any further problems, please contact our support team.
How can external sensors be connected to the MONILOG® data logger?
Please contact our support team on that.
Why are shock values not monitored and displayed?
- The shock values are recorded in an event-driven manner. This means that only if the configured thresholds are exceeded, the shock values are saved.
In addition, some devices offer a motion recorder function with continuous recording of peak values.
- The impact was below the configured registration threshold.
- No shock duration was specified.

Where can I download the software for my data logger?
On our website you will find the login area for customers in the right footer (end of website).
If you do not have access data already, please contact our support team.
How do I use the software for my data logger correctly?
We are happy to support you with the introduction to the MONILOG® software.

How can I configure the MONILOG® data logger for transport?
Since each device has specific settings, the user manual will provide you with information. Otherwise, please contact our customer support directly.
How do I know the remaining life of my battery?
The actual remaining battery cell charge is monitored by the data logger itself and is displayed with the MONILOG® software when reading it out.
You will find the display of the remaining battery life under Configurations.
Where can I find the smartphone app for the MONILOG® ShockDisplay curve 2 plus and MicroShockDetector plus?
The MONILOG® Connect App is currently available as an Android version on the Google Play™ Store. For the download, you can also visit our product page of the MSD+.
How can the recorded data be analysed?
For each MONILOG® data logger a specific free software is delivered. For evaluation, the data logger is connected to a PC via USB. Our support team will be happy to explain exactly how the evaluation is carried out with your device.
The configuration cannot be saved or loading is not possible. What is to be done?
Make sure the device and PC are connected to the USB cable.
What should I do when I get the error message “It is not possible to read the data”?
Check if the MONILOG® PC software associated with the data logger is installed. Make sure the MONILOG® data logger is connected to the PC via USB cable. If you cannot connect to the device, disconnect and reconnect the cable.
